Nobody can make American's swell with pride like old Merle. Thank you brother Mel for your contributions to making this place a great place to live and raise a family. I know how much both mean to you.
Howard, I agree with your comment on Merle. His songs have over the years been a great inspiration to me and many others. He has a unique way and singing style that just touches you to the core. Thank you for being a good friend and placing value on my efforts.
They tried to get me in 1965, but I ended up staying home. Don't ever forget those that did go.
Hi, Mark. They got me in 1969. I had dropped out of my first year of college. Guess I wasn't supposed to do that. Served 1969 - 1971. I like to tell the story of this (96) pound skinny kid from Southeast Idaho. Boy, did I do some growing up over the next three years.
